Rodri responds strongly to Ronaldo: You know the criteria for the Golden Ball

Spanish Manchester City star Rodri responded to Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi Al-Nasr, who said that Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior is the most deserving of winning the Ballon d’Or award for the best player in the world in 2024.

Rodri said in statements published by the Spanish newspaper “AS”: “I am really surprised by Cristiano, because he knows more than anyone else the criteria of the Ballon d’Or and how the winner is chosen.”

He added: “The journalists participating in the voting this year chose me to win the award, and I think they are the same journalists who chose Ronaldo to win the award at some point before.. and I think Cristiano was convinced at the time by the choice of these journalists.”

It is noteworthy that Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d’Or award for the best player in the world 5 times, the last of which was in 2017.

Vinicius had lost the Ballon d’Or award to Rodri, which caused a great deal of controversy among the global sports community.
