Italian offer tempts Rashford
On Thursday morning, press reports confirmed that the Como club, owned and coached by the Spanish Cesc Fabregas, wants to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.
Como is known for its great ambitions in the transfer market since its promotion to the Italian first division.
During the last summer transfer period, the club was able to sign prominent names such as Andrea Belotti and Nico Paz, and also included a number of players on free transfer deals, including Spanish stars such as Pepe Reina, Alberto Moreno, and Sergi Roberto.
According to reports coming from Italy, Como has set its eyes on Rashford, and could compete with other clubs interested in the player, such as Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Como “will not face any problem” financially to complete the Rashford deal.
The club will have additional support, through the presence of former teammates of Rashford, such as Raphael Varane and Dele Alli.
Varane is currently working as an ambassador for the club after retiring from football due to injury, while Dele Alli, who played with Rashford for England, is currently training with the Lombard club.
Reports suggest that Varane and Dele Alli could try to persuade Rashford to move to Como this month.
