Brentford coach: We dealt with Arsenal pressure bravely

Brentford manager Thomas Frank was pleased with his team’s performance despite their 3-1 Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday.

“I think we did a lot of things right, we did well, we played well in the first half and the players were brave,” Frank told TNT Sports after the match.

“We dealt with the high pressure of the opponent bravely, we played well, and in general we have to improve,” he added.

“We need to do better than just score a goal, because if you want to beat Arsenal, you have to do everything right,” the Brentford manager continued.

Regarding the home defeat, Frank said: “We played against a top team, you can’t expect to beat Arsenal but we played well.”

The Brentford manager also spoke about the possibility of striker Brian Mbeumo leaving the team, saying: “I was very happy with his performance throughout his time with the team, he played well, for me it shouldn’t be a problem to keep him.”
