The secret behind Havertz’s absence from the Brentford match

German Kai Havertz missed Arsenal’s first match in 2025, on Wednesday, against Brentford in the 19th round of the English Premier League.

The Gunners’ list did not include the German international, which sparked speculation about his absence.

However, TNT Sports revealed the secret behind Havertz’s absence from Arsenal’s 3-1 away win.

It reported that Havertz suffered a health problem, which led to his absence from Arsenal’s trip on the first day of the new year.

It added: “Havertz was not in good condition, which put his coach Mikel Arteta in trouble, especially in light of the absence of Bukayo Saka also due to injury.”

Despite this, the Gunners managed to return with the winning points from Brentford’s stronghold after turning a one-goal deficit into a three-goal victory.

It is worth noting that Arsenal jumped to second place in the Premier League standings by reaching 39 points.
