La Liga removes Olmo and Victor from Barcelona squad
La Liga has removed Dani Olmo and Pau Victor from Barcelona’s official roster for the current season.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, La Liga removed Olmo and Victor from Barcelona’s roster on the league’s official website early Wednesday morning.
The newspaper indicated that Andreas Christensen reappeared on Barcelona’s roster, after the Catalan club took advantage of his long injury at the beginning of the season to temporarily register Olmo and Victor instead.
Barcelona asked the Spanish Football Federation yesterday to issue a new license for Olmo and Victor, and the club denied that it had requested or received any exception from any other party to register the players.
La Liga responded to Barcelona, confirming that there was no hope for it to continue registering Olmo and Pau Victor after December 31, before implementing that this morning by removing the players from the official roster.
