De Jong: I am frustrated.. and I will leave Barcelona in two cases
Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong has confirmed that he is very frustrated, hinting at the possibility of leaving the Catalan club.
De Jong said in an interview with the Dutch network “Football International”: “When I signed with Barcelona, I did not imagine that I would only win the league title, the Spanish King’s Cup and the Spanish Super Cup in four years.”
He added: “I expected at least double that number of titles, so I am frustrated, because things went in a way I did not expect.”
He continued: “People think that I will stay at Barcelona until the end of my career because the atmosphere there around football is great, and this is an important factor of course, but what matters more to me is what happens on the field.”
Frenkie de Jong concluded his statements in this regard: “If I feel that I have no role or imprint or that the team is unable to compete, I will leave.”
